Hi, I’m Sahara Rose!

I was never someone who knew exactly what I wanted to do for a career path. I always had different interests and skill sets yet nothing that I had learned about or discovered in the tourism industry fulfilled how I was to use my knowledge of travel to make a difference.

The industry always put travel careers in boxes and provided limited options if you had a passion for travel and wanted to help others.

That’s when I started my own Wellness Travel Coaching business in 2018 after realizing that I wanted to mesh coaching + my passion for travel. I chose the wellness space because I believed so deeply in (and studied) the various mental, emotional, spiritual, physical, and overall wellness benefits of travel. I chose my niche of business travel because of personal experiences talking with business travelers and learning about the roaring burnout epidemic that was happening in that industry.

I then I founded The Travel Coach Network to guide others who share a similar passion for travel and help them start and grow their own travel coaching business. The Travel Coach Certification Program was born, which was built from complete scratch. Both within and outside of our ICF-accredited program, I have worked with over 1,000 coaches and business owners, giving them my ideas, insight, advice, and guidance for their business journey.

At the same time, I continue to get paid to travel and speak at corporate and industry events about wellness travel, including for the Global Business Travel Association, ProcureCon, GBTA Chapter meets, and the Travel Leaders Executive Forum.

Over the years, I have worked with various brands and companies through partnerships and paid sponsorship including Royal Caribbean, Tripbeat, JourneyWoman, RetreatBoss, Cohere, Solo Traveler, GoBe, among others.

I am a multiple 6-figure business owner, a published author (which I still earn royalties from my book), global speaker, TEDx speaker, Start-up Investor, and has been in over 260+ media outlets including Travel Weekly, Conde Nast Traveler, AFAR, TripAdvisor, CNBC, CNN Travel, and twice in Forbes. I am a member of the Advisory Board for The Hotel Guide, was named one of 2023’s Most Influential Women in Travel by TravelPulse, and also appeared on Season 8 of Project Pitch It.

Hi, I'm Akua!

As the Founder and Co-Adventurer of Dream Catcher Global, I’m passionate about creating transformative travel and coaching experiences for women. With an adventurous spirit and a deep love for human connection, I’ve traveled to 88 countries immersing myself in indigenous cultures, trekking remote paths, and climbing mountainous terrains. One of my most powerful experiences was being honored with the name Akua by a village chief in Ghana’s Asante region, which means helper & leader. I carry that name and mission into every space I serve.

Before launching Dream Catcher Global, I served as Deputy Chief of People & Performance at NYU Abu Dhabi. I hold a bachelor’s in Leisure & Tourism Management and a master’s in Human Resources Management. I’m also a certified master coach, NLP practitioner, and meditation teacher.

My own transformation began during the pandemic, through journaling, meditation, and deep reflection. As my passion for my day job began to dwindle, I felt a clear calling to empower women to lead bold, authentic lives. This calling inspired me to found Dream Catcher Global, where I guide women to step out of their comfort zones and into lives filled with courage, adventure, and authenticity.

At the heart of my work lies The Unbecoming Journey—a signature framework I use in immersive retreats, intimate group coaching, and powerful one-on-one sessions. I help women break free from everything they are not, so they can fully return to who they truly are. In recognition of this work, I was honored in March 2025 with the Global Transformational Coach Award in Dubai.

As an international speaker and facilitator, I’ve shared my journey across global stages and platforms, including BBC Radio, Travel Essence Magazine, Global Woman Magazine, and numerous podcasts. Beyond coaching, I’m deeply committed to philanthropy and mentorship. I co-created the Dream Catcher Cup, an annual football tournament in a small village in South-East Botswana, where I mentor young people eager to make a positive impact in their communities.
